Oh what a difference a decimal point makes.
Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle is all over the A's-Reds trade bringing Adam Rosales and Willy Taveras to Oakland but she's missing one little thing … a decimal point.
Willy is actually set to earn $4.4 million in 2010, not $44 million. At that salary it's a no-brainer that he's not part of Oakland's low-budget plans.
One way or another the guy is never going to take the field wearing green and gold.
It'll be interesting to see what Billy Beane can get for an overpaid speedster like Taveras with no on-base skills.
The Reds were dumb enough to sign Taveras to a 2-year deal, the next test will be to see who's stupid enough to give up something of value for the guy when Oakland flips him.
